3 Light Mod ?
i was looking to do the 3 light mod. i was wondering if i start modding things if it will void my warranty? since i just bought it last week. wanted some thoughts / input before i started dropping some money on different things i wanna buy for it. i know racks and bumpers wont really matter much but doing other things i didnt know.
Thanks

Evening!
Well I would advise you to go with a RELAY setup instead of a DIODE setup. Diodes can get dangeriously hot. Relays are better as they do get hot and wired correctly offer NO additional load on factory wiring.

It's pretty easy and straight forward you should not have any problems. The video helps explain things allot!
Good luck,

3 light mod: On previous model Sportsmans when you turn on lights the bumper lights come on when you turn on high beam the pod light comes on.
After the 3 light mod is done high beam turns on all 3 lights.
It works great as with just the pod light it doesn't let you see straight in front of you when turning with all 3 lights on this doesn't happen.

Thats what I was thinking it is but my 2011 works that way and I have not done any mod. The guy that started the thread has a 2012 and wants to do the mod so I guess thats why I wasn't sure what the 3 light mod is.

I know the XP's have the 3 lights I do not know if they gave the value quads that same benefit or if they remain the same as older models

I understand your concern. my "value" quad only has the Pod for the high beams and not all 3. i wonder if its also a 800/850 thing. maybe the bigger more "touring" models have the lights like that. i only got a base model 500
