Liscence Plate Mounting - XP

Has any one mounted a liscence plate on the back of their XP? If so, can you post a pic or point me in the direction of one?

Thanks!

I did. I don't have a picture right now (It's 10PM) . But, I simply took my plate placed it where it looked right, on the muffler shield! Marked the 2 upper holes location on the shield with a sharpie. Carefully drilled 2 holes. Hold onto the drill good don't let the bit hit the muffler itself. Got 2 bolts and nuts with star washers attached. I believe the bolts were only about 1/2" or so in length. Don't use a bolt any longer than necessary. That was 3 weeks ago. Checked them the other day and they are still as tight as when put on. Good Luck.

There is an easier way without drilling, go to Lowe's or Home Depot and go to the electrical section and buy 2 conduit clamps, they have them with the rubber on as that will protect the paint, they will be a little small but they do work. Don't forget the necessary screws. Hope these pics will help ya

Here is a picture of my plate mount on the 850XP. I did a fast and easy way of mounting mine and then I went to Pep Boys for some led lights and drilled holes into the plastic and recessed the lights and wired them into the tail lights.

The touring model does not have a box in the rear, so this was an easy install. When I purchased the XP from the dealer, they had drilled holes in the alum. heat guard on the muffler. Unfortunately the wiring harness made it 4 miles before melting on the muffler. I might go back to the original plate mount on the heat shield, just depends on what ideas come into my head for lights...

Sorry, not legal in AZ if you are going to license it in the state. It also has to have a license plate light.
