We'll let you know what I think once I've received them!!

There is no comparison in how the HTR vs bias Bearclaw ride. While the bias Bearclaw is a good tire, they just don't ride, handle or wear as well as the HTR. That is the tire I ran on my X2 before I switched over to Bighorns, so I have many miles of seat time on them. The HTR is definitely worth the extra $150 or so over the bias ply tire.

Is the Kenda K587 Bearclaw HTR, the HTR's that everyone talks about? Or is that a different line of tire? Gets a little confusing shopping for them.

Sure thing, I'll share.... The best price I found "currently" was at Dennis Kirk @ the price of $703 plus MN Sales Tax (.875%). All items sold as a line item with no option of mounting & valve stems included. So, I also spoke to the crew at MotoSport who was willing to price matched my "Minnesota Price" (Dennis Kirk, with MN sales tax included) and they made it a "package deal" by including the wheel, valve stem and tire mounting for free (a $0.01 charge is actually applied per billing of the mounting line item)..... Standard Ground Shipping was included "Free" from either and I was billed 'one nice easy payment' of $758. (Of which I'm sure someone will now pipe up and tell me where I could have saved another $20-50, but that's okay..... I can still submit a better price if found within X number of days from order!! )

Yeah don't buy the bias ply bear claws! A riding buddy has them and cuts them every other ride it seems. This is about all there good for .

This is a great thread for me. I also posted a tire and wheel thread for my 2012 Polaris 500 Sportsman.

I was going to go with Mudlite tires and itp ss 212 machined rims.

I got some valuable replies, thank you guys, and now are in the hunt for Kenda htr bear claws.

Issue I'm finding is mounting, lugs and if I need offset, which I don't like because it slings mud past the wheel wells as my buddy's Suzuki does.

I'm going exact factory sized rims and tires 25x12 inch rims 10's back, 8 fronts.

Hoping I can do this without offsetting.
