Total swap between 850 and SP 500??

I have a set of ITP mudlites i have been trying to sell and a guy approached me to look for a trade. He just bought a 2011 touring 850. I believe the stock rims and tires on that are 26x8x14 on front with Maxxis bighorns??? Is that right?

My problem is I have a 2000 SP 500 that comes stock with 12 in. He wants to switch. Will that work for both of us?

He would be putting 28x10x12 front, 28x12x12 rear on itp aluminum rims, on his 2011 850 touring

I would be putting 26x8x14 front, 26z10x14 rear on my sp 500.

Will either of us have an issue going from 12 rims to 14 and vice versa? Will he have rubbing issues going up to 28" on the 850? if anyone can steer me in the right direction it would b much appreciated..

The stock tires on the new 850 touring are Maxxis 806???? that ring a bell for anyone? Are they radial and even though they are stock are they an improved stock tire?

You will have to put spacers on your atv to fit the 14 inch rims because of the offset. I put my factory 14 inch xp rims on my ranger and had to do the same thing. I remember reading you cant put the 12 inch rim on the 850. Something about the brake rotor not fitting inside the rim.

Thanks for the reply. Never thought about the rotors. Might be best of me to just stay away.
