Need tires!

Ok I know I can do a search, but I'm working 12hr days for the next 2 weeks so my time on the pc is limited. I'm looking for a set for the 850xp and the yfz450x. The 850xp I'm looking for a good all around tire since I ride all types of terrain within a 2 mile ride. Coal soot, hard & soft packed, rocky, some light mud along with general leaf covered trails. Plus it'll be snowing soon too! I'm looking at 26" or 27" in the reapers & sparticus, but what else should I consider? The yfz I'm looking for some razor 2's, F-21x7x10 & R-20X11X9. So if Thor or Discount tire can hook me up with a deal, you'll be getting a decent size order this weekend!

Well since none of the sponsors here replied to any of my emails & pm's I ended up going through my local Harley dealer. They beat everybodys price that I had by atleast $50! I ended up going with the sparticus tires for the 850 in 26" complete set @ $410 & the yfz's set $400! And best of all no shipping fee's and they'll be here by tuesday!

I think you will love them, I know I do! Ride like silk and tough as nails. I run at 6 psi up front and 5 in the rears. Post up some pics when you mount them if you get a chance.

Yeah I hope they workout cause shopping for tires suck! I wasnt to concerned about ride quality cause of all the different terrain I ride and on average run maybe 15-20mph. I'm glad I did shop around though cause the prices were all over the place. One "well known" online store was over $100 more for just the tires and then they wanted another $20 to ship! And they came highly recommended on here! As for pics, they'll be posted up next week when I get everything around here cleaned up and moved in. I'm in the process of building a 20'x60' pole building for all my crap, lol!

You got a great deal too! I paid $400 shipped from mudthrowers, but that's for the 25" and I had to pay $15 a pop to get 'em mounted. Good luck with the toy shed.

Yeah it pays to shop around! And do what I did, tractor supply has a Larin manual tire changer for $55(handles up to a 21" wheel). It's a pretty good unit that can be bolted to the floor to make it easy with mount/dismounting tires. It even has a bead breaker attachment. Usually takes me about 10 minutes to swap a tire. Shops around here charge anywhere from $10-13 for mounting tires so it's payed for itself already!

I hear the greef, but don't take it personal... Not everyone is out to rob you. Many small retailers are honest hard workers just like you and me. They set pricing based on COSTS. The thing many do not realize is COSTS to the retailers is ALL OVER THE PLACE TOO!!! Its in there best interst to shop for best price to be able to pass that on to us. But sometimes you simply need stock. Having something a bit higher is better then having nothing to offer.

Good job for finding a good price for yourself. Before dealing with a couple of the guys on here I too found pricing all over the place. BUT there is more to a retail purchase then the price paid. Fir instance, will they be there after the sale, are they reachable for any problems. What about something else, little you need quick? How about advice and help given freely everyday... Just saying.

Glad you got a good deal! Just hate to see you have a sour taste from something unforeseen or from not seeing the bigger picture...
