Good moring, as far as going to the 12" wheel, I can't see any problems. The selection of tires will be greater for the 12" wheel.You shouldn't have any issues with the larger rims on the rear.
I've seen adapters that will let you use the larger wheels. Check with Hit-the-Gas, I think they offer them. All they do is change the bolt pattern from 4x4 to 4x156(same as the front).
Going one size larger will rob a small bit of power, but I don't think that much. Of course using larger tires may require a clutch mod, or maybe not, depending on the height and weight of the tire you choose.
