pic's of 27" Spartacus on 550 X2
Here is my 2010 550 X2 with 27" Spartacus tire on factory wheels.
This completely changed the look and feel of my work horse. The only power loss I feel is in high gear, taking off from a stopped position. Low gear feels the same as it did with the factory tires.
The tires stick out a little form under the finders. Wish they made fender flars for the X2.
I had to trim the metal brace under the passanger footwell, somthing I knew I would have to do before I bought these tires, thanks to the members of this forum posting issues they have had with larger tires on the touring and X2 models. It rubbed the brace but not very hard and there was no tire damage.
I also added spacers to my rear springs, they were way to soft in the back and I have been unable to find any Heavy Duty springs for the X2. I was amazed at how much the spacers stiffened the rear of this X2. I can pull the front end off the ground now. Somthing I was unable to do before. I just needed a little more traction along with a stiffer supension.
Traction is great in the red sticky clay I live on. Virtually no rain here since last May and the day after I installed these tires, it rained over 4 inches. Drove it in 2 wheel drive where I would have to use 4 wheel drive with oem tires while playing in the mud. It will climb up a sandy creek bank with ease, before I would have to get a running start and stay heavy on the throttle.
My only regret, waiting so long before I pulled the trigger on new tires.

Fracer,
Thanks for taking the time to post some photos and give your thoughts on the Spartacus Tires.
Great looking machine. Let us know how you like them after you get some good rides in with them.

Fracer - was the power loss worth the extra traction now? I have an 850xp and am looking at the same tire. I was wondering just how much power loss I would see.
