Although I am not familiar with the brand, I know of people with similar tread design who do very well. It seems to be a pretty good tread for all around riding. We encounter rocky, sandy, slick, muddy, and snowy terrain in our travels and treads like this may not be superior in all conditions, but are very good in all. I suppose it depends greatly on how and where you drive. Most tire companies have guides online that show the strengths of each of their offerings. This may be the information you need as everyone's driving is like their fingerprint; unique.

These tires are for hardpack. Not for me! Rocks, roads, typical trail riding. I haven't heard anything good from these tires though.

Give the STI Mud Trax XL's a look. Almost 2,000 miles on mine & they are holding up very well!! Good mud & trail tire.

They look similar to ITP BAJA CROSS. Just a tire meant to average joes. The STI mud trax xl are a decent tire. I personally have 27 inch Interco Swamplites. They are an aggressive tread pattern....clean out nicely and have 6-ply side walls. That's my opinion anyway!! Tell me what you decide. Also, Interco has a radial tire....they are called reptiles. Great tread, but not for me!

The proComp tires are on the same lines as a Big Horn as far as the type of terrain to ride on. They are radials and are about 1" deep on tread depth. You can get em for around $390 a set online which is a good buy these days. I took a look at some a few weeks ago at my local dealer and they are a very good looking tire. I would not hesitate to buy some. Some people seem to think that if it does not have ITP or Maxxis written on the side of em, that they are automatically crappy tires. I'm glad the lesser known brands such as STI, Sedona, ProComp, and some others are coming out with tires that are not only reasonably priced, but are pretty good performers. The big name brands have gotten very outrageously priced in recent years and to be quite honest, they are not that much better than the unpopular brands.

i definately agree PolarMud....ITP and Maxxis have crazy priced tires. My interco swamplites were very cheap supprisingly. If you try to buy some maxxis bighorns or itp mudlites, it will set you back 100-130 per tire. I do have ITP SS312 wheels, but they have a life time guarentee!! so its definately worth it!!
