2011 Sportsman Touring Xp question

hey guys I just recently added the kolpin fenders to my touring and want to widen the stance of my bike and help fill in some of the gap created by the fenders. Would it be a good idea to add 1.5 in spacer all around and can I put wider tires on my stock rims as well in combination with the spacers?
any input is appreciated thanks guys!

You don't need spacers. Just get new 11" wide tires and it will fill out nicely. Additionally you can get a set of rims with a little more offset and achieve the same thing as running spacers.
