Snow Tire

hi ppl i have a 2011 sportsman 850 xp eps that i bought just to plow my driveway....iam looking for a great tire to use, with aftermarket itp 212 chrome rims. can anyone tell me what would give me the best traction besides tracks. i would also like to go up 1 size to a 27 inch tire.

interco swamplites. They are really aggressive tread and are good for snow! i hope this helps. i have the swamplites and they were quite cheap and work well in every kind of surface!

I was going to suggest Maxxis Bighorns as an excellent snow and all terrain tire, but they don't make a 27" tall tire for the 14" wheels.

My suggestion would be GBC Grim Reapers. They are made in 27x14 configuration and have a great tread pattern. Thor at THEATVSUPERSTORE swears by these tires and says they work excellent in the snow. I'll be using my 800 this winter for plowing, and bought the Grim Reapers off of Thor's recommendation. Here's my 800 with 25" Grim reapers on ITP SS212's.

i went to a local dealer for the grims but he said they were discontiued in my size of 27x 14

Have you thought about Spartacus? More aggressive than the grims, but still ride smooth.
