Majority of my riding takes place at the deer lease. But, 5 or 6 times out of the year we all get together and hit the parks. Last place we went to was River Run. Did ok out there on stock tires but I want to go up to 27's. I don't need Mudzillas or Silverbacks but I did see the Kenda Executioners and liked them.

There are a lot of good choices in tires these days. It depends on your riding style and terrain. Some excellent tires are GBC Grim Reapers or Spartacus, PitBull Rockers or Growlers or Maxxis Bighorns to name a few. I personally would not go with a 27 inch tire on your 500. It will rob you of some power and may rub.

I went with 12" ITP SS312 wheels with 26" Big Horn 2.0 tires on my '07 500 efi. They seem to run a bit 'tall' so that should help with your wanting a 27" tire. I'm mostly an 'all terrain' rider but not a big 'mudder. These tires have been absolutely great for me and taken me wherever I wanted to go.
