wheel spacers
Being new to this forum, I hope this is in the right place. Here's my question, should I have to use spacers on a '07 sportsman 800 when mounting 27-9x12 and 27-12x12 on the factory wheels using stock suspension? Thanks

you have to use at least a 1" spacer on the front to run the 27`s or tires will rub tie rod ...thats what the dealer told me anyway....same thing for my `05 Sp 800.

On my 2010 500ho i run 27x10x12 on the front with a 1.5 inch spacer, stock rims. 12 inch wide on the back with no spacer. Probily could have gotten away with 1 inch spacers though.

Ok, after asking the query, I take a look at the front of my bike and what do I see, but a tierod end within 1/2" of the wheel/tire. So I guess that by putting anything but an 8" tire on the front, it would require the 1.5" spacer. I can also see why a spacer wouldn't be needed on the rear. But that the spacer may be needed on the rear to help stabilize the bike if a spacer is used in the front. Any comments?

I put 26x9x12 (front) and 26x12x12 (rear) on my 2007 800 sportsman. I needed 1" spacers for the front to clear the tie rod, and no spacers for the rear with the Polaris aluminum wheels.
