Tire size for stock sportsman 500?
I have a stock suspension and stock rim 2000 Sportsman 500. I am thinking about 27-28'' mud tires, not sure which ones yet. The thing is, there arent many tires that look like they would fit the 11x10 rear rim. Can I just get a tire made for a 12'' wide rim and use it? Any info and tips would be great.

Welcome. Does your bike have the 4x156mm bolt pattern?

No Way buddy! You can't put a 12" tire on a 11" rim. A friend of mine just went through this trying to find tires for his 11" rims. They make them but they are hard to find and more expensive because the 11" rim is not common. He did find some Mud Lites but only in a 25" tall tire. Thats probably the biggest you'll find. You best bet especially if you want 27" or 28"s is to buy new wheels also. GL!
