Tire/wheel question?
Newbie here with a tire/wheel question........
Will I have any issues with putting ITP SS108 wheels with 26x9x14 fronts, and 26x11x14 rears on a 2010 550XP?
These tires are really close to stock size, but I don`t want any surprises if I buy them.
Also, assuming there will not be any clearance issues, does anybody know if/how much wider this will make the bike?
Thanks......

No problems there.
I just replaced my stock CarlisleTerrathons with Maxxis Bighorns, in the 26X9 and 26X11-14s; awesome difference on the trail.

Thanks guys.......
Phil, I am thinking of trying these tires because I am going to put a bunch of miles on this bike running on sand based roads with a lot of rocky areas. Do you think the Bighorns will hold up well? I have read that they are pretty tough.
Also, do yours ride as smooth as the factory tires?

Just as smooth on the hard trails. I don't do any blacktop riding but I would say they would be as, or nearly as, smooth as the originals. All the reviews say the Bighorns are "bullet proof". After handling them and riding a bit, I believe it. They are definitely a MUCH tougher tire. Mine are the original version, not the Bighorn 2s. The 2s are a lighter version, as I understand it.
Your riding surfaces, as you mentioned, are a perfect fit for the Bighorns.
I'm sure there are other tires that will do the job - but I do like the Bighorns. Can't wait to see how they will do in the snow and on the ice.
