Will 26x10x12 fit up front?
I have a 2008 sportsman 500 efi H.O and want to get some mud lite tires. My stock size is 26x8x12 front and 26x11x12 back. I found a great deal on a set of mudlites but the fronts would have to go to 26x10x12. Is that a problem going 2 inches wider up front? I have stock suspension and will keep it that way. The backs are 26x12x12 which will be fine.
Thanks

Welcome. Are you planning to use your stock wheels? I thought about the same thing, and after looking and measuring, found that if I used the stock steel wheels on the front I would have to use at least 1" spacers. I went with aftermarket wheels using 9" wide tires.

Yes I would use the stock wheels. They are the factory aluminum rims that came with the machine.

OK. I don't know the backspace of the aluminium rims. If you look at the space between the stock tire and the tierod end, that should give you an idea of what you'll have to do.
