Picture Request: ITP SS312 & SS112 (12" or 14")

I think I've got the wheels I want narrowed down to these two, just trying to find some pictures of them mounted on a Sportsman. I'm not sure if I want to go with the 12" or 14" (And probably some 26" tires). Surely some people out there have one of these combinations.

I may be leaning to the 12" because I'm not adding a clutch kit or anything and i'm not sure if I want all of the added weight and stress of some 14" wheels and 26" tires (going on 2005 Sportsman 400 4x4). But, maybe with some pictures, I might want to go with 14" because of the look.

Can anyone help me out with some pictures? I've looked through the wheel and tire thread.

Thanks

SANY1570.jpg Here's my 06 500efi. These are 12" SS312s with 26" ITP Bajacross tires. They are great trail tires and work great in rocky conditions. I do a lot of riding in the mountains of West Va and its extremely rocky in some of the places I ride at up there and these tires are perfect for those kind of conditions.
14" rims will look good, but its gonna kill your ride quality. It will handle and turn like a sports car, but its gonna be stiffer.

That looks really good. I'm thinking I might stay with 12", just trying to watch the weight of the setup. Do you by chance know how much weight that combo added to your ride vs. the stock wheels and tires?

Don't know how much the wheels weigh, but the front tires are 28lbs each and the rear tires are 33lbs each. They are a little on the heavy side. It hurt the power just a little bit, but not as bad as the Mudlite XTRs that I run on there on occasion. They are like turning cinder blocks. A good lightweight 26" mud/trail tire would be the Maxxis Zilla. They are probably lighter than the 489s that you got on your 400.
I use to have a 400 sometime ago and yes you don't want to get too carried away with a big, heavy tire.
Good luck and let us know what you get and lets see some pics!

Thanks for the help. I'm for sure getting the SS312's and 26" Zilla's. Now, the delima is going to be go with 12" or 14" wheels. Its hard to tell from pictures. Like these....

You say yours is 12" with 26" tires.

This guys also claims his are 12" SS312 with 26" zilla's. They don't even look close to me at all.

Let me give you some heads up on 14" rims. They may look good and put a little "Bling Bling" on your ride, But it will take away your ride quality due to less side wall. A lot more stiffer and a little more vibration on hardpack. I had 26" Big Horns on 14 SS wheels last year on my 500 and needless to say I was not impressed at all. They came off after about a week. To me these big rims like the 14s and 15s are nothing but hype and quite frankley some of em are Ghetto lookin. 14s are fine on a side by side because of the long wheelbase. Most people I know that have 14" rims on their atvs don't keep em on there very long. The new XP Sportsmans are the only atvs out there that ride good with 14s and thats only because it was designed for that particular size rim.....Just my opinion
