Hey guys I'm selling my 97 sportsman that i just bought in July.
It is a clean machine, never rolled or crashed into anything, only damage is dented rims (tires are original and in good shape). Starts with barely a touch of the starter button and no need to choke it ever, transmission shifts and 4WD engages perfectly, drives great and plenty of power, it's alot of fun to ride. Has 2000 miles on it but by the overall running and operating condition of the machine they seem to be mostly from open trails.
The reason I am selling it is that it was advertised as a 2000 model year, and being that it had that same body style, etc i didn't think twice about it. I found out it was a 97 when i went to replace the rear wheel bearings and the U joints on the rear driveshafts (P.O. never greased them and they were wearing out fast) and i was informed that 2000s and most Sportsmans for that matter had CV shafts. Anyway, I now have a machine that's about 3-5 years older than i wanted, has a couple hundred bucks into it in new parts, and still doesn't have a plow or winch.
This machine would be great for someone who just wants a good "rough and ready" VERY reliable 4x4 to use on a farm or just ripping around on trails as a starter ATV for their kid or something.
I am looking for around $2500, but i am very open to negotiating a price, so don't hesitate to make me an offer.
