well here it is. put the white spring in the secondary that they gave me. took her for a ride and still has a harsh backshift. its not as bad but still too much. this is the reason i have kept my father from taking it for a spin. when i got home i swapped the stock springs and weights back in. back to stock. took it for a quick ride around the yard. backshift is ok now, i think that was the problem as you guys said " leave the secondaries alone."
stock the backshift is a little harsh, any increase in this is too much. going back to stock made it more managable. the increase in the engament and the harsh backshift was just not worth it.
the guys at EPI told me to try it and if I wasnt satisfied, give them a call and they would work it out with me.
threw a pic in here to show how i did it. :-) my back cant handle bending over for too long so the hoist in the ceiling helps like you wouldnt imagine.

Thanks,
I got the hoist positioned so i can back the truck or trailer under it to unload anything i can get a strap around. butchered a few deer with it and when the mower needs to have the blades changed for fresh sharpened ones and have the deck cleaned.. it has to be one of the best money i ever spent. its a HF 440 single 880 pound double capacity. now i just need to find time to clean the garage.

i was able to return the kit to EPI. I bought it directly from them and worked with them as i was trouble shooting it. they stood behind their product and beings it didnt work for me with my application they took it back and refunded my money. so the only money i lost on this was the original instal by the dealer, return shipping cost and my time removing it and putting it back to stock. i got a learning experience and now know more on how the cvt works.
