Hi, I can't help you as far aas that area goes. Never been there. A bunch of us have a cabin in 81,but the sucess rate isn't very good there. I didn't get drawn for anything this year for the first time. I put in for m/l elk bull & cow, bear, deer, and antelope. 2 years ago I put a nice 5 pointer down about 5 miles from the cabin. One shot from my 50 cal CVA put him down to stay. Was able to get to him with 4wd p.u.. I've had to pack them out before and it is a real job. Lay them on the hide and only pack out meat and head don't even have to gut them. Good luck, Al

Hello alawight. I am from Wisconsin and just joined this site for some info on a new wheeler I just got.
Saw you are a muzzleloader hunter, Ive been trying to get a smokepole Elk tag for 3 years in unit 14 only because it looks to have alot of elk and alot of wilderness area to get away from the road hunters so to speak. I plan on hunting by foot and bivy packing, but the only thing its hard to plan a trip where you never were yet. Any insight? Welcome to the forumn
