atv trails near watersmeet mi

We are planning a trip to Watersmeet MI for some riding 4/9/10. We will arrive Thursday night late. Going to stay at the casino in Watersmeet. On the trails by around 8 & ride all day Friday and return home Saturday for a welcome home party that we must go to (Wife's orders) in Chicago. Anyone want to meet us up there for a good 125 + mile run?

would love too, since im in houghton/hancock now, but i have no quad to ride, and really no time either with school ending in 3 weeks. have fun though, and wave north to me! been through watersmeet before.

and i like pictures. this thread will need pictures

What a great trip. We left Iron River MI at 8 am and rode to Watersmeet MI. From There we headed north and ended up at Houghton MI. From there back to the casino in Watersmeet at 9 pm and 275 miles later for some much needed screwdrivers and dinner + some slots and off to bed at 11.30 pm.

Next morning we headed back to Iron River and drove some really nice trails around that area. Sunday we did 105 miles. Our total trip was 380 miles and 18 hours in the seat. Great weather, awesome views and a overall nice trip.

Here are some pics. Sorry for the pure quality. Some are from my cell. My buddy has a Zumo 550 GPS with VM mapping installed so all I do is follow & enjoy the ride. That is a great map program that I have to get some day. With all the miles we did the only real stopping we did was for fuel every 70 miles or so.

thanks for the pics. you guys where in houghton on friday? we were like, less then 10 miles away at one point. i am living in hancock right now. jealous, it would be awesome to have quads up here.

We ended up leaving IL on Friday night, rode all day Saturday and Sunday till about 2pm.

just haven't got around to ever owning one yet. im only 23 and still in college in hancock/houghton. all my experience comes from doing parts, selling, and borrowing quads from my dealership to ride. i just havent had the funds yet in my life to be able to afford to do it
