Looking for riding buddies in Iowa!

Just purchased my first quad after not having one for 6 years! Now I am looking to see if anyone lives close to the CR area?

Man I just moved from there a year ago. I met some good guys to ride with at some of the public riding spots right outside of Iowa city.

Welcome to the board.

Thanks man! Are you talking about 600 acres? I used to ride there a lot when I was a kid, I guess a lot has changed since then though.

i am guessing that cr means cedar rapids. we r going to hatfield and mccoy next month if u r interested in tagging along for the ride. if u want to meet and go riding somewhere before we leave for wv i can do that. let me know. there r a couple places around here to ride or if there is somewhere by u i am not opposed.

Thanks for the invite. That's in WV right? What are the trails like there this time of year? I've been looking at going to Marysvale in Utah to ride the Paiute trail, but we'll see.

As far as riding areas here there are none that are worthy. Wisconsin is probably the next best bet? Where do you usually ride?

hey srt

i think the trails r going to be good. i have been there a couple of times and i haven't been disappointed yet. as long as u don't mind the hills. it can get mountianis. u can go on you tube and watch videos of the trails. we r going for the trail riding. we will go in the mud holes but we don't spend a lot of time in them. and as for riding around here we go to the cliffs.
Cliffs Insane Terrain

we will also go to the badlands in IN.

as for going to wis. i have been to black river falls and i wasn't to impressed. it is flat and dusty. it was all gravel roads/trails. i think we r talking about utah next year. if u go i would love to hear all about it.

JeepSRT, I have been to the old 600 acres site, I use to run trucks and quads through there, although it is closed to trucks now. "They" built a guardrail around everthing, it's not quite 600 acres anymore, more like 140 ish. I live only about 45-60 minutes away, it is still ok with some decent trails and mud, last time I was there. I haven't been there in a few years, might still be worth the trip...I am gonna hit it up again for old time sake this spring and check it out!

I live about 2-3 miles from Lakeview ohv (old 600 acers) I dont have a new ride hoping to get everything fixed by spring, and maby another quad so the wife can have this one. Never fun wheeling by yourself. Havent been out there since they closed it to trucks.

I was just at Lakeview today. My old man and I just got two 850s about 2 months ago. We are from Coralville and would welcome some more people to ride with. Email me sometime and we can try to hook up. We also went up to Riverview (Waterloo) last Tuesday and rode in the 12" snow. It was sweet.
