The saying here is; "If you can get there by car or truck, then you can get there by ATV" And then some, every town is connected so you can get anywhere you need or want to go. if you are ever in Maine, keep going up I-95, get off the hwy in Houlton, Me (where I-95 ends) and head north on Route 1 to the Caribou/Presque Isle area and Ride, I promise you could ride for a week and never do the same loop or trip! It is almost endless.
HERE HERE!! GREAT RIDING IN MAINE!!!

You guys can request a state map showing all the trails!!! http://www.maine.gov/doc/parks/progr.../atv_maps.html

This is the actual map! http://www.maine.gov/doc/parks/progr...ATVMap2011.pdf

I have been going to the FT Kent area since I was a boy, but not riding there, Now I see tons of trails, looking at the map its just like DCT says, you can reach the majority of the state on a ATV!!
We ride the Jackman area and LOVE IT!

Just did a two system trail ride in Maine, from the middle of the Sunrise Trails system, Beddington, up to Madawaska, in The Aroostook County system. Did 746.6 mile over four days. Went from Beddington, to Mattawamkeag, to Island Falls, to Houlton, to Van Buren, to Madawaska, and back. Had a fair amount of rain to deal with on Days one and two. Still was a great trip and we are going to do it again next year. Biggest problem was lack of time. We had to keep moving all the time. We had no time to stop and take in the view or really relax for a few hours, except when we were a sleep at night. Next years trip will be accomplished over a one week period.

The article was written up in the August issue of ATVing in Maine Newspaper, under the title of "Machias to Fort Kent: The Link Between, Part 1" and " The trip, Part 2".
