I just bought a leftover new on the showroom floor 850X2 last month. This is great info. I've hardly used mine yet but tomorrow I'm going to check to see if it has the redesigned cover.

I picked up a 2011 left over about three weeks ago. I will also check to ensure things are seated correctly before I start putting on too much mileage. Thanks everyone

125 hard miles with 20 miles or so running 60+ on the Hwy running between hunting camps. Since pulling the felt and making sure the oring was seated the box is still dry

Nothing better than the collective knowledge in a good forum!
The next thing for me will be replacing the front diff with a stronger one, I'll be sure to post pics and part numbers when that happens.

I sent this link to a Polaris Industries forum member back when I was a Moderator challenging them do something. I guess it has paid off for all 850XP owners.

Hello all, new here...
So what is the concensus on this issue without reading all the thread pages? Remove felt? I have known about the issue for others and have just recently had oil in my airbox for the first time.
Great forum, thanks,
Jim
