i think the regular box will probably fit but i think your right in thinking it may sit to far back. i didn't buy a backrest for mine because i thought it was to expensive and i wouldn't need it. i like the box itself, it has a lot of storage space.

have you heard or do you know if the removable handholds would work on my 2010? i think i'd invest in some of those if they make them as an accessory.

I am not sure on how those new quixk rellease hand holds work. There is a video on the Polaris website that has some info about the 2011 touring models, and at the end of it there is some info and footage of the new features and accesories, but they go through so fast that I can't quite tell how they go on and off. You may have to wait and till your dealer has a 11 instock and mabe go in and compare them side by side to see what all you would need to make the conversion. You may have to change out the whole rear rack.

Here a cool video about the 2011 lineup, I learned a few things that I had not seen mentioned on the Polaris website. Nice to know the EPS XPs all got larger fuel tanks for 2011. The X2 got some nice updates to the rear seat design. There is good part devoted to the new larger 400 Sportsman too. Plus some video of the Touring LE that I ordered.
