Supplemental Rules and Classes Announced for the 2009 ITP Tires/Moose Racing AMA ATV

Morgantown, W. Va. (January 1, 2009) - The ATV Promoters Group (ATVPG), in conjunction with the American Motorcyclist Association and All-Terrain Vehicle Association, has announced the Class Structure and Supplemental Rules for the 2009 ITP Tires/Moose Racing AMA ATV Motocross Championship Presented by Parts Unlimited.

"We are very excited about the upcoming racing season even though our nation is suffering through a tough economic time," said ATVPG Director Sam Gammon. "This year, after taking in a lot of feedback from racers, fans and stakeholders in the series, we believe our revisions to the rules and class structure will provide a fair, affordable and competitive racing series."

"We're proud of where ATV motocross racing has gone and where we believe it will go in the future," Gammon continued. "We think the new rules will help pave the way for the next generation of top ATV motocross talent." Additional efforts are underway to keep racing costs reasonable, as the ATVPG will not raise entry and gate fees for racers or their families despite the escalated costs associated with race promotion.
