Question Outlaw dripping gas

Hi all,

Just purchased for my kids a 2008 Outlaw 50cc. Great little machine...but noticed that gas drips from a tube under the atv. Traced the tube back to the carb area.

I thought it was because the fuel petcock was open, but NO it was closed in the OFF position.

Any idea's why?

Thanks!

Wipe off all the threads on the filler neck real good. Look for a crack in the filler neck. This is a common problem...

Another thing to look at is the needle seat inside the car. When these go, it will drip fuel no matter where the fuel valve is at

Thumbs up

Wow...look at the date on this thread! Totally forgot about it...

Thanks for the comments. The dripping is no longer an issue...and might be because I did take it to the dealer to work on. The did do an adjustment to the carb...so maybe that was the fix.

Thanks again!

sounds like either a stuck float or needle. the tube you are referring to sounds like the float overflow drain.
