thanks

i did go up on main jet a couple of sizes didnt help. i left the size up from stock (i know they are lean) I think the exhaust is junk my dad bought a dsx 450 exhaust and it came with high temp silicon so i put some around the head pipe and it cured it for a short time. it is low hrs so the valves should be ok. i am a banshee guy first perf 4 stroke wanted to be different from the yamahas and honda guys. this is why i am going aftermarket exhaust (but dont want it to loud)i think the exhaust is bad again low hrs changed oil after 2 tanks it looks better than when i bought it . thank you oh yea it only happens after you let off the throttle under hard exell

i really dont think there is a problem with the poping. mine does it too. if ur doing it laying into the gas then hey welcome to a four stroke. my first one that was heavily worked at one time shooting fire out my exhaust when i was shifting. theres something just about them that makes it do it. there must be excess somewhere that builds up for that pop. y putting on an exhaust i think the pop is going to be more noticeable

I would also like to add that you may want to get the jetting chart for you dealer and confirm that your carb has the proper settings for you elevation and ambient temperature range. Both will play a factor in this. 3 common settings that may need to be changed are main jet, pilot jet, and needle clip position depending on what the chart says

My guess is its stock jetting with a non-stock exhaust? If so there is your problem

so were saying its a leak in the exhaust at the head. i thought of it once but went to thinking it was in the carb tunning if anything. this is good im learing a little on this one. what did they do to fix it. new exhaust rings to seal and shave the head
