Broken throttle lever.. Outlaw 500

I broke the throttle lever on my Outlaw 500. I have heard its a common problem on predators and outlaws. I know some of the yamaha guys have swapped their throttle assemblies out for the metal honda throttle assemblies. Have any of you done this? I'm curious what all is involved in the swap.

I would check out eBay for a take off, there are tons of used parts available for the Outlaw 500 and 525s

The point of this thread is to get info on swapping the piece of crap polaris throttle lever out with a far better honda assembly. Why put another polaris lever on it when its just gonna break again? I can't believe they make them out of plastic to begin with.

It is pretty bad when my daughters Phoenix has the exact same throttle as a 525! Cheap! Huge! Awkward! JUNK!!!One would think that a high performance machine would have something way better.
Not to mention it takes up too much room on the bars. I bought 2 inch rox risers and pro taper contour fat bars. and my front brake lever sits crooked now.
