Tires!!!!

I have a 2006 Outlaw 500 IRS and i'm looking for an aggressive mud tire that will do good on trails too. I am looking at the 20x11x9 Mudlites and the 22x12x9 Bearclaws. Anyone know how big of a tire will fit on an outlaw and anyone ever use either of these 2 tires?

Not sure how big you can go, and I'm suprised to hear 9" rim? Any ways alot of people on the IRS other brand sport quad sware by these. For mud, snow, all terrain. I seen video of guys riding wheelies in 6-10" of snow. Kenda Kutters are a sweet 6 ply tire, and the price is right too!

Not sure about the 9" rims either. It has stock rims and tires on it and they have a lot of tread left. Everyone i ride with has 4x4 and i have someone that might buy the outlaw so i can get a 4x4. if they don't buy it i'm going to get a better tire so i can get through the mudholes a little better. I've seen some reviews for the Kutters and everyone seems to like them. Doesn't seem like they would push the mud like the mudlites or bearclaws though. I guess if the pattern is set-up right they can handle it huh?

I have a set of Kenda Kutters 22x9x11r for my Trx700xx, but have not installed them yet. Still waiting to wear out my cheap factory tires. I'd say maybe like 3-5 more rides. If they last the summer i'd be suprised.

The 9" just sounds small, my 01 scrambler has 10" and I just got a killer deal on a set of Kenda bearclaw Ex k573 tires. They hook up sweet, and work great in mud bogs! Heres a link with a picture of them. I think that either of these kenda's would be alot better than mud lites, save those for the 4x4 utility quads.

The factory tires have 20x11x9 on the back. That means 9" rim right? The bearclaws have .80" tread depth and mudlite has .75". The Kutters i looked at only had .59

Would i have to use spacers to put 22x12x9 tires on the outlaw. Like i said the stock tires on it are 20x10x9.

Yea that means 9" rim. Kenda Kutters may only have 0.59 deep lugs, but theres 75 of them! You have a sport quad, imo you need a sport tire.

I'm not sure about this, but if you want to go that much larger than stock, you probly will need a differant rim and spacers. And if thats the case, i'd check into a 10" wheel. Alot more options with the tens, again just my opinion. Some one else on this board with a Outlaw IRS can chime in anytime.
