Some good advice from 2010outlaw, I'd start with a pipe and jetting kit for the carb and take off the airbox or purchase the EHS performance lid. Should all be less than $500-600 bucks and will give you a lot more HPs right out the gate. Also, nerf bars are essential IMO

First thing is get ride of the cheeze dick handlebars and add remote reserviors to the front shocks. Just look for my post in the outlaw section.

Terrasmak, where did you get the remove reservoirs for the front shocks? About how much $$? Definitely sounds like something I'd be interested in.

Thanks guys for the response. yea im thinking of going with the ct exhaust with jets and all. Ive been looking at the airbox and it seems rather restrictive. if seen some pple put the cfm aluminum airboxs. anyone have and good results or luck from these? and yea the nerf bars are a must i bought the oem polaris stars when i bought the quad. and as far as remote reservoirs... my quad isnt a 450mxr so no reservoirs for me, only in the rear

Uncorking the KTM
Throw the airbox in the attic. Get a 6 inch angled uni clamp on two stage filter oiled up real good with filter oil. Dennis Kirk has them for like 19 bucks #305049. Then install a fmf right side slip on exhuast. Then go get yourself a 190 main jet for the carb and a moose adjustable fuel screw. Start off with the fuel screw turned out to stock and adjust the screw to make it run clean right when you crack the throttle open. Likely richer a 1/4 turn or so. You may want to get the carb bored out by a reputable machinst to say 41.5mm. clean the filter every ride. Keep the radiator clean cuz they like to run hot. You can also plug the coolant bypass with a hose, clamp, and a aluminum plug on the front of the cylinder. Then just run the hose from the radiator to the top of the head with no kinks in the hose.
Thats a good start to getting that motor to breath. It will shred real good with that set up.
