Totally agree.... this is very sad.. Polaris has made many amazing vehicles throughout the years including the outlaws!! Im very upset but it makes sense.. no one was buying them... my father is a Polaris dealer and is still sittin on a brand new 2006 Outlaw.. the type of market these sport quads attract have a hard time affording them which is why I believe they have decided to not create a 2012 line up but hopefully it is ONLY for the 2012 year.. I pray they will come back bigger and badder in the future!!

I think the only reason why polaris has done well with the outlaw is because of the KTM motor. I have never liked the polaris and hardly would not accept the polaris atv in my shop because of its complicity.
I would have never considered my Polaris accept for the great reviews on the KTM motor.
I think Polaris is making a comeback because of the Ranger UTV.
I hate to bash Polaris but they have a terrible reputation where I'm from, south Ga.

Your both right. Just sad, with the reputation polaris has up here with there performance snowmobiles and pwc, to walk away from performance quads is gonna suck, except now maybe mine will be a collectors item

Yea I believe that th outlaw was one of the best sport quads made... not just because my family sells Polaris but because I've seen how it compares with other sport quads I've ridding with. We have a outlaw 500 that is one he'll of a machine with the right performance mods this thing will be untouchable. But I do agree the 525right was what made the outlaw. And that's why im in the process of finding one I.can't wait to get my hands on one lol

I understand why the axed the sport quads, but it still makes me sad.
It makes me sad that KTM stopped making their 525XC quad, and now polaris with the 525 outlaw. This is sad.

The Outlaw out performed all other sport quads. Period.
I rode my Outlaw 525 IRS today in California---I dusted off plenty of Raptors and 450X's in the process. Sorry speedfreak, but you're wrong about the Outlaw. The KTM Motor is GREAT. I love the power and the reliability. But the Outlaw 525 IRS is a Beast b/c it handles gnarly trails--better than anything else on the market by far. The IRS, steering, low weight and balance simply can't be found in any other quad. Honda's 700xx isn't even close---for $2,000 more if you can find one.
Outlaw outsold KTM quads by a bunch. And it is no wonder. Unless you are racing for Roger De coster, they cost too much. And the Outlaw has the same motor for THOUSANDS less. Put a motor with 90% of the power into that chassis and you still have a winner. Again, for thousands less. THEN you can put Ohlins shocks, wide a-arms and all that jazz on it to customize it exactly as you want it and STILL save money.
In case you haven't looked, Suzuki isnt selling their quadsport for 2012, and KTM left the market. Honda didnt make any x's in 2011 and Yamaha doesn't have a yfz450x for 2012.
The sport market is dead for now. When the economy picks back up, the sport market will too.
Ad i'll look to buy my good ole American sport quad from Polaris, b/c they did me right with my Outlaw 525 IRS!

Wow... I wasn't even aware this happened. I guess I better take care of my very low time 2010 525 IRS.
