I also noticed that theres a red/white wire sticking out of the steering stem area femaleside attahced to nothing and no male side to be around or even unplugged. Any idea?

Red or orange with a white stripe is usually 12 v power. Sometimes there are extra ones in the pod for things like grip warmers ect. What model do you have?

Its a 2006 OUTLAW 500. It doesnt look like anything was cut out of the wire harness at all, just looked odd hanging there

Not too familiar with the outlaws, but my sportsman has the same wire. I was told it is for add-ons that need power.
