Transmission slipping on '11 Outlaw 90
Hey everyone,
New to the forum and Polaris. My Son's outlaw got some water in the gearbox today and limped home with the help of me pushing with my foreman. Apparently there's a belt that drives everything and if it gets water in the gearbox, it slips pretty bad.
I drained the gearbox oil and it was milkly. Did what the manual said, let it idle in neutral after draining the oil and then varying RPM till it "dried" out. Still slips (but not nearly as bad as before). Am I doing everything right?
Will idling the bike in neutral dry everything out?
Bought some new gear oil today, I don't want to fill up the gear case until i know everything is cool.
Any thoughts? THanks!
Dan
