What would you prefer....
here is a loaded question........
if money was no issue or non-exsistant, what of these two quads would you get and why?
2009 Polaris Outlaw 525 S
-or-
2009 KTM 525 XC
i have my thoughts and reasons, what are yours?
*and no, im not personally considering buying one or the other, i dont have the cash to, but i thought this would/could make a good discussion

Outlaw. Same motor, $1000 less, and I personally like the Independent rear suspension. Also a factor for me, the Polaris dealer is 15 miles from me as compared to 60 miles to the nearest KTM dealer.

taking money out of the equation, and the S does not have independent rear, its is a straight axle as well

Oops...didn't see the "S" in your post. Man, I don't know. With money out of the equation, makes it a tough call for me as I haven't ever owned anything besides sport utilities. I would just have to ride both and it would come down to which one I felt more comfortable riding I suppose. Suspension would play a major role in my decision for sure.

its okay, i know money is probably the biggest factor, and the IRS would be second, as the IRS on a sport quad is pretty nice. i have ridden both, and know what one i would take and why, but im curious to other peoples reasons. i know the real world reasons why the outlaw outsell the XC, but.....

well if i was keeping it stock the KTM keep in mind is so call Race ready and is a little more factory modified than the polaris.
If i was changing everything i would start with the cheaper polaris.
I would probably get the KTM being that i weirdly enough have a ktm dealer in my just pronounced city. It is the only motorsports dealer here but the city i work in is 5 minutes away and has all manufacuturers but the polaris dealer is 20 minutes away.

the ktm comes with more high end products (suspension, tires, etc) then the polaris but i ride woods and i don't know how the ktm alum frame would hold up to that...
