Help with brand new 2006 Outlaw.

My buddy bought a NEW 2006 Outlaw 500 from Mies out land in mn. When he first got it- it ran awesome. After 10-15 hours the atv would loose power for a second or two, not all the time. He took it in for warranty, Polaris said, "the voltage regulator was spiking up to 16 volts". They replaced the regulator, but could not duplicate the his problem. Now the atv has stalled three times, and was hard to start one time. The first time it happened, he was ridding for an hour. He loves the atv all around. Anybody have any ideas? Thank you.

Pull the bowl off of the carburetor and check it for foreign matter. That sounds very similar to what mine did, was just a little piece of sand (don't know how it got there!) when I gave it the gas it would get sucked up the main jet and the quad would run terrible, let off and it idled just fine.
