atv stream crossing

has anybody had any problems while crossing stream/rivers? I have a 08 450mxr and we headed to the mountains crossed a couple streams maybe 1.5' deep or so at first it was fine, turned the bike off and when i tried to restart it would just crank like it had no spark. on the way back it would shut off in the middle of the stream and do the same thing. if i let the bike dry for 30min it would fire right up. anybody have a idea of what the problem could be.

Spark Plug and/or wire? Use some dielectric grease.
