Outlaw 525 Hot start issue

07 Outlaw 525 Airbox mods, Exhaust, jet kit..

I was out riding on Sunday, and a few times I had trouble restarting the bike after short breaks.. It felt like the battery/starting circuit couldn't turn the engine over.. Is there a decompression kit or any other issues to make it easier to start? Sometimes it was no trouble and cranked/started fine, but other times I really struggled to get it going..

I hope nobody is running 87 in an outlaw. They will run way to hot with 11:1 compression. You should run 91 MINIMUM in them.

Ha, thanks man. I just got the outlaw a few weeks ago, wasn't planning on doing it until next year but with rebates and incentives the deal was just too good to pass up. I'm actually thinking about selling the 850 & trading the 550 in for a '11 850 touring later this winter if I can manage it. I find myself not riding my 850 nearly as much now that I have the Outlaw...lol.

On subject, do any of you guys ever use Gold Label in your fuel and if so, do you notice any difference? I have some buddies who use it when we go to the dunes that swear by it and some who say they can't tell any difference at all.

As far as the "Hot Start" issue is concerned, there are a couple of things I did to correct that problem. First, is get the jetting absolutely spot on. Best way to do that is to get it on the Dyno. Second, I installed the R&D Power Bowl 2. I'm not trying to sell stuff here, but after the mods in my sig, I have absolutely no problems with "Hot Starting".

Now, I have a problem with cleaning my quad, seeing that me and a group of buddies went to Pismo Beach the other weekend, I got drunk and ran my quad into the Ocean. LoL. No big problems, just had to change a fuse, swap batteries, and change the chain. I was amazed at how quickly the chain COMPLETELY rusted. LoL. I mean, I took the quad to a car wash within 10 hours and completely sprayed/washed it down. But the next day, my chain, and only my chain, was completely orange.
