Previous starting issue getting worse...is anybody here?

Outlaw 500 2007. See my earlier post about hard to start. I have been giving it gas to get this bike to start. After warming up it runs and starts fine. Lately I had to give it gas to restart after it has warmed up. Now it wont start cold without starting fluid and I refuse to keep using the stuff. The bike is ok once it warms up....but getting it started is a Bia(*&(*&^%$%$#.
Idle seems a little high....always has been......Ive re-jetted.....170 jet.....stock exhaust......
Could it be valves? CHoke circuit? I just pulled the carb cleaned it again...put it back on....set the mix screw......It started and ran fine.....this AM back to the same....New plug...pulled it after running...its good....what is the deal????
Does anyone have an Outlaw they can pull the choke....push the button and start right up.

YEs....

Valves where the problem. Adjustment was easy. DOne in an hour and a half. ALL the thanks in the world to exriders.com. In particular this nice article here ATV Riders Forum - Adjusting the Valves on the Predator.

If your outlaw or predator becomes hard to start over time, it is not "just a carbbed machine". The problem is definitely the valve shims. THe job is easy and the shims at my local dealer cost 2.40 for all 4.
I have more power and it starts right up when i hit the button everytime! Purrs like a kitten.
