polaris outlaw 50 won't start

When I roll over the bike, it makes a clicking noise coming from which i think is the solenoid. I took plastics off and banged the starter a few times, nothing happened, still makes the clicking noise. I tried bum starting it and it fired. Any help would be much appreciated thanks

Jump it, get some cables and try. Very simple

ya i wish it was that easy, its not the battery man, im not a noob, I have worked on bikes before and im sure know if its a dead battery

starter brushes inside the starter could very easily be wore out

never jump start a bike with a car,,,,,,yeah it works,but if you care about it,,,,,,,,,

Never have the car running, jumping straight off the battery isn't that bad.

yeah, thats true but the cca is a hundred times differant+the spark of hook-up can be a bitch.2 amps charge.

starter was tested and was said to be in great working conditon, however i took the side gear casing off and removed gears, and hit ingniton switch, the start spins with no load. So i thought maybe the gears are ceased a bit but I can move the gears freely with my hand and can hear the compression building. It still seems to me it that its the starter, but they said it was fine?> What should I do buy a starter and take a gamble?? Thanks
