Newest mods, Tusk chub bars, and remote reserviors

Well i've beenr iding my 2010 525s and decided these 2 improvements would help take care of its shortcomings. First one is Tusk Chub bars in ATV high Tusk Chub Big Bar | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC with Pro-Taper grips Pro-Taper Rockstar ATV Grips Flanged Black | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC . These grips do need a little bit of trimming for the thumb throttle, but its nice being able to use a donut in the inside compaired to most quad grips. The mount i used is Pro Taper Oversized Rubber Mount Kit - BikeBandit.com and i had to buy 2 grade shorter Grade 8 bolts from Home Depot and file the heads slighty to make them work. I also had to drill the 2 outer holes on the steering stem larger, very simple to do. That was actually a simple mod, the new bar position is great and the whole system is so much stronger. I do recomend ordering a ProTaper style pad to finish it off.

Next was the Shock mod. Polaris Predator Fox Remote Shock Reservoir: 2874244 Motorcycle Parts, Accessories, Clothing, and Riding Gear - Honda East Super Store a pair of these were ordered. They are actually very simple to install, all you need is 5 weight fluid and access to nitrogen. Any suspension place in your area should be able to do the nitrogen charge on them 200psi once you put them together. Or if your like me (aircraft mechanic) you can do it yourself with the right tool. Fox requires an Air Needle, i was lucky enough to borrow one, if not convert to Schrader valve Poly Performance JEEP/TRUCK & BUGGY*::*Shock Parts*::*Fox Shock Parts*::*2.0" Coilover*::*Fox Shock Shrader Air Valve - 4X4 Off-Road, JK Synergy Suspension Systems, Fox Racing Shox, Beard, CNC Brakes, Johnny JointsŪ, Currie Enterprises, Edelbrock, Pi Wish i would have known before hand, but mine will get swapped when i change the fluid next.

Riding, well the bars are great, but the front suspension rocks. It was stiff and beat the hell out of me from the factory, now it just sails thru the rough. Woops are a breeze, and arm pump had died off. These reserviors for the shocks just make it easier to ride, and less fatigue after riding for a long time.

Next mod is a PRM swingarm skid, CFM airbox and jet kit.
