Spark Arrestor

Hello! im new to the forums and to the polaris world! I just recently traded in my raptor 660 for an 2010 outlaw 450mxr and am loving it so far, in my state we are not required to use a spark arrestor, and after removing it on my raptor it really opened the bike up, is that possible on the stock bike for the outlaw, and is it as easy? (and or a good idea, or should i just wait till i FMF it :P ) thanks! - Lane

it's absolutely possible. you may have to do some jetting work in the carb though, not positive - or if it's injected you may need to remap.

thanks for the welcome guys!, so i removed it...and holy moly it sounds mean and opens the bike. I also removed the air box lid(till i get the new air box in) and pj1'd it real good. this bike hauls, i seriously almost want to say it feels like it has more power then my piped raptor 660 did, and it handles about a million times better. Long story short....

im about to do my 3 hour break in oil change, do i need to change the filters as well?

Not to hijack the thread but I have an 06' 500 and want to remove the arrestor and airbox lid also. Does anybody have any recommendations as to what to jet to. I'm at sea level.
