Phoenix won't start with start button
I've been tinkering with my daughters Phoenix now for about a year. The starter burned up last year so we have been using the kick start for a while. I just bought a new starter and installed it the other day but it will not turn over when I push the start button. The very first time I pushed the button it sounded like a dead battery but I know the battery is good. I jumped the solenoid and the Phoenix starts right up. I've started checking wires, but I was wondering if the solenoid could still be bad somehow?? I have the left handle bar switch all apart checking wires. I guess I'll have to tear the whole wire harness apart to check from the switch back to the solenoid. I'm no electrical guru, so if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it.
