2011 Phoenix NO spark

Took my nephew out on his brand new 2011 Phoenix. About 2 hours into mellow trail riding bike quit. After checking for a fuel or gas problem didn't see any spark. Other than the obvious of replacing the coil or CDI is there anything else I should check out that could cause impact to the ignition? Turns over fine and all the lights etc work fine. Thanks ALL!

check the wires maybe they corroded inside or got bent/torn.
if you dont know whats up (the problem) then replace the cheapest parts first. if it fails, succede to more expensive parts, dont go ahead with your dealer "because he knows this happens" and trys to sell you a 500$ part that you dont even need.

if its a new machine than take it back to the dealership if its still under warrenty,if not than check the red wire at the connector for the keyswitch.ive had a few corrode but still look connected, ive had to cut the wire and bypass the connector and splice the wires together infield just to get home.
