how to remove polaris 500 carburetor

Is there a way to remove the carb on an 05 predator without removing the throttle cable assembly with it? While attempting to remove the carb, i could not figure out how to remove the throttle cable from the throttle assembly on the carb.

at the end of the throttle cable there should be a small cylinder that holds the cable in place. rotate that shaft to give you slack in the cable then you should be able to remove the cable from a little slit the wire will slide through. I dunno how to explain it much better than that.

Once you Remove the cable from the slit, there is a small cable retainer on the end, pop that out and remove from cable. once you do thins then you well need to push back the rubber piece that cover the piece that screws into the carb housing. one you do that then just slide the cable out of the carb and it should be free.
