hello to everyone
well this is the first post ive made, today i purchased a 2003 predator 500, full yoshi system, k&n air filter, jetted. for 1600. the only thing it seems to need is a front sprocket, anyone know what size is in the front? i had a 350 raptor prior to this, how are the 500 predators? seems like a beast of a machine to me, and the pipe sounds really intimidating...thanks in advance boys.

Welcome!
The sprocket you need is a 14 tooth, Polaris part# 3088132. Does the tooth count sound right? 'cause the partfiche just said predator no mention of a 500cc.
Good luck and hope you enjoy your new bike.

two 8mm bolts and it just slides off ( theirs a guard but that's two bolts as well)
and have to pop the master link out of the chain..
but when i change a sproket i change it all so it all wears evenly
chain and the two sprockets

yeah they have them , or else wouldn't be able to put it on threw frame (pic below of master link)
as for the chain on the rear sproket pull one of the links from the rear sproket and if it pulls more than 1/2 the height of the rear tooth its excessive worn .
or measure any 20 links (21 pins) span , the pins from center to center, if its more than 327mm (12.87) inches its worn
check the inner chain plate faces they should be evenly polished on both sides, and if their is uneven wear then the sprockets aren't aligned properly , kind of hard to type it out but if u have any questions about a step ill go into further detail

14T is the stock size, alot of guys drop it to a 13T for more low end power. Also, check out the chain. If it might need to be replaced soon, just do it before you are stuck somewhere. Can find a good deal on Rocky Mountain ATV, where i bought mine from.
