Just wondering why you are changing it...it is easy to change, you will need to take the chain off.

you guys are doing this the hard way. loose the 2 bolts in the rear bearing/axle carrier. rotate the axle to loosen the chain and then take it off the rear sprocket. once you have the chain off the rear sprocket there is alot of room to slide the front sprocket off then put new sprocket in replace all bolts in the front then put the chain back on rear sprocket and rotate carrier back to tighten chain. theres no need to take the chain apart if your not replacing it.

you talking about the 2 bolts at the very back of the bike, one near the rear sprocket and the other near the rear disc brake?

yes your rear carriers pinch bolts. that is how you adjust your chain loosen those rotate it around until the chain is slack enough to take it off the rear sprocket. there are slots in the carrier that you can put a screw driver in or a punch or anything to get it to rotate around. then pull your front sprocket and replace everything then adjust your chain.

so i changed the front sprocket today, i didnt have to take the chain apart at all i pulled the old one off and then took the chain off the rear sprocket, installed the new one put the chain on it bolted it up and then put the guard back on, then i loosened the 2 bolts on the back of the carrier (there was an issue with the grease fitting being non-accessable earlier)
put the machine in neutral with a concrete block under the machine, resting on the stock plastic skidplate, then just rotated the tires by hand like you would on a bicycle, once the chain was on i rotated the carrier so that the grease fitting was easily accessable then tightened the 2 bolts back down, and i was done. i did notice a little play in the rear axle and worries with this? maybe like 1/16-1/8 of an inch.
