I decided it was time to replace the slider on the swingarm and lube the swingarm pivot bolt. I started by loosening the chain and removing the front sprocket. It was kinda a pain in the ass getting the slider out with the chain still on. My dealer doesn't stock the slider so I'm waiting to put it back together. Should I remove the chain when I install the new piece? Is there enough room to wedge it between the chain and swingarm?

Thanks, but I already bought a few from the dealer. Installing it was as simple as bending it to clear the chain, no need to remove the chain. The only difficult part was getting the bottom front screw in as it is right in front of the frame. I ended up taking the swingarm bolt back off(i had it off to lube it up but never torqued it)and screwing it down.
