9 inch rims
I was looking around for rear tires out of curiosity. I noticed that there really isn't crap for variety for our machines (10 inch rim). Then I looked up the same size tires but for 9 inch rims and found all sorts of different tires. Has anyone swapped down to a 9 and if so is there any benefit or downsides to doing this other than gaining tire selection?

yeah there isnt alot of tire selections for the douglas rims, it seems like alot of work and dollars to be able to run a pretty common 9'' rear rim, to be able to run a 9'' rim you have to change hubs and carriers etc, or so i was told, so i guess we are stuck running the 3 tires that fit our rims..

Well honestly I have a bent rim on the rear and one on the front from the PO so I was looking at getting new rims. I want some itp ss112's and they don't make them in the 156 rear bolt pattern so I was looking at getting the 110 bolt pattern rear hubs. That is why I am considering changing to the 9 inch rim at the same time.

well let me know hoy you make out on getting them to fit, im in the same boat as you, except my rims arent bent, but i need some decent tires that are good in the mud, i wonder if i put a longer swingarm on it if ide have enough room for a taller tire, not too big.

I am sure that they will fit just fine, the offset will be the same, it will just be a hub change for the different bolt pattern and a 1 inch diameter difference in rim. Like I said, the ONLY reason I am considering the rim size change is for more tire selection.
