05 Troy Lee Stalling
I have a 2005 Troy Lee Predator 500.
I bought this bike as a project and a project it has been.
Latest mystery... I have around 40+ hours on this bike since finished motor rebuild and have not had 1 problem. Last weekend I went to take it for a ride, made it about 6 miles and the bike started to get a little jerky and stalling out as if it was starving for fuel.
I have now taken off the carb and the fuel pump and completely cleaned both (they were hardly dirty) and now I cant make it 5 minutes on the bike without it stalling.
I am running an aftermarket airbox with dual UNI filters, full HMF exhaust, Big Gun Rev box, 175 main jet and that is the only mods to the motor.
Update: I have now taken the Carb, Fuel Pump, and Petcock out and cleaned them all, when I first put it back together the carb was dumping gas out of the overflow but I think the floats were sticking. I took it apart again and made sure nothing was in there and when I put it back together the carb was no longer dumping the fuel out but now I cant make it 30 seconds down the road without it dying or stalling out, when I pull the choke it starts but dies out after about 50 feet with or without the choke
Update: I have purchased a new battery and stock CDI and still having the same issues... Is it possible for a fuel pump to just go out? There is no damage in the pump, all filters and plastic components seem to be in working order, the Carb is cleaned and even tried different sized jets. I put the stock airbox back on with only a loss of power as a result. If there is an air leak in the line going to the pump would it cause problems similar to what I am experiencing?
Any knowledge on this would be helpful, I had a stock 2005 Predator 500 a few years ago and it ran perfect for me for over 2 years before I sold it with 200+ hours on it without 1 mod

same thing happened to mine it was the solenoid it would get just enough to start and run for a bit but it would just suck the battery dry

mine ran fine but the second you let off the gas it stalled. adjust the cable coming from the throttle. you slide to rubber covers opposite ways and tighten the screw

will these quads not run without the battery? I know it is required to start the engine, but once it's running does all the power come from the stator or does it still pull from the battery while running. Im having stalling issues on my TLE predator and cant figure it out.
