2004 predator

I just bought a 2004 predator and couples of things going wrong. I went out riding 15 minutes it would over heat and I noticed the fan was on a toggle switch which was broken so I wired it to the battery to avoid the switch so when the bike is on its on, so we went out riding for about 2 1/2 hours or more and as soon as I was on my way back I noticed it was a little jumpy as if I was out of gas(I wasn't) and then I went to go turn it on after that it was dead only lights were. Remind you this was night riding so I had my high beams on at all times. So next day same result.... I had to jump the battery from my car then I would start of and If I shut it off by any time I couldn't turn it back on bc the battery was dead. Is there a reason why it's dying? And also when hit the throttle it doesn't react right away?

Thanks.

Will do. Should I go back to a toggle switch for the fan?

Junk the toggle switch and fix the fan the right way.
